Two innovations – one conclusion

At the opti 2010 in Munich, Ollendorf Mess-Systeme followed once again its principle, “our mission is good vision” and presented its innovations to the optical market - arising great interest. Both, the number of booth visitors as well as the total amount of concrete quotation requests met the level of the last years. This coincide with the result of the trade fair overall. Reaching a 5 percent rise in visitor numbers and a higher level of satisfaction among exhibitors and visitors, the opti is continuing its course of success. The opti was an opportunity for Ollendorf Mess-Systeme to present its novel products, cultivate customer relationships and make new contacts, not only with the German-speaking market but also more and more abroad.

Ready, with two innovations the booth team, lead by the owner of the company Dipl.-Ing. Hans-Joachim Ollendorf, had three busy trade fair days presenting their new products. From now on, the visuReal® product family is expanded by the new video centration system visuReal® SMART, being a combination of design and functionality. Its puristic design reflects straight forward video centration. Since the recording of the measuring image is done automatically by the software, the optician can fully concentrate on consulting the customer. Testing the systems live at the booth, the visitors could directly convince themselves of this advantage.

The second innovation having its opening at the opti 2010 was the drilling and milling machine visuDrill®. With this novel drilling and milling system for plastic lenses, Ollendorf Mess-Systeme offers the optician another innovation that can convince twice: providing easy handling and sophisticated design. Fully automated drilling and a wide range of slot milling possibilities ensure high-end manufacturing also at this working step.

Following up the trade fair, Ollendorf Mess-Systeme could already register orders. Especially, the production of the video centration system visuReal® SMART is in full swing.

Michaela Reinhard, graduate optometrist and lecturer at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, and Sabine Fricke-Gottschild, licensed optometrist, both from Krumme Lanke Brillen GmbH in Berlin, talk with Hans-Joachim Ollendorf, graduate engineer, about the complexity of Face Form Angle measurements and the impacts of the head rotation.
