visuReal® successfully tested within an independent study

In the scope of the study Modern Video Centration Systems in Comparison with Pupillometers by  PD Dr. Wesemann our video measurement centration system visuReal® was one of four tested systems being considered as  representative on the market.

Ollendorf Mess-Systeme is proud that visuReal® keeps up with the tested top devices in terms of handling and measuring accuracy.
We  have a solution ready for the difficulties with the handling of our previous measurement tool for measuring the face form angle. We can now present a new and better measurement tool:

The new All-in-One measurement tool provides essential advantages compared with the former used one. It is easy to handle, fits firmly on the frame - thanks to a more stable design, and is universally usable for all types of frames.

The study by Dr. W. Wesemann (School of Optometry (HFAK) Cologne), published in the journal DOZ (Deutsche Optikerzeitung), editions 6 and 7 / 2009, contains the following information:

Part 1: Presentation and handling of the devices

  1. The following 4 video centration systems  were tested:
    visiOffice (Essilor), Impressionist (Rodenstock), RVT (Zeiss) and visuReal (Ollendorf Mess-Systeme)
  2. The following parameters were compared
    1. different measurement principles regarding the pupil centration
    2. Handling of the devices
    3. Image quality
    4. Additional functions
    5. operating problems
    6. time needed

Part 2: Results of comparative measurements

  1. The measurement results of 4 video centration systems and 4 puplillometers were compared to each other.
  2. 125 measurement were executed being subdivided into reproducibility study and screening.
  3. the following measurement results were compared
    1. Frame dimensions
    2. PD monocular
    3. measurment results concerning the IPD
    4. Inclination
    5. Fitting height
    6. CVD
    7. Face form angle

Being part of this study was a good opportunity for us at Ollendorf Mess-Systeme to get feedback about the system. It encourages us to continue our innovative work and development of visuReal®.
